Get the Best of the West with Boulet Boots
Handcrafted in the city of St-Tite, cowboy boots made by the Canadian company, Boulet, are crossing new frontiers and stepping out overseas. Cowboys from the United States, Australia, Switzerland, and Italy all wear their traditional and durable designs. Simons is very proud to be teaming up with this innovative and inspiring family business.
In 1933, Georges Alidor Boulet founded his shoe company in St-Tite, a town historically known for specializing in the production of leather goods. Three generations later, the company is still growing, employing over 200 workers and producing 200,000 pairs of shoes per year.
In order to diversify its production, Boulet also makes shoes and boots for today's sheriffs, including members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), and correctional services officers.
However, the heart of this Canadian company still lies in making cowboy boots for men and women that were traditionally worn for getting in the saddle, but are today deeply rooted into the fashion world. In 2018, you're as likely to see this trend in the country and on city streets as you are on the catwalks of prestigious runway shows.
In fact, numerous well-known labels like Dior, Emporio Armani, and Fendi have included cowboy boots in their 2018 Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections. Now it's up to you to take the reins and work them into your summer and fall outfits as well as your formal and casual wardrobes!
The second generation of co-owners, Robert, Roger, and Reynald Boulet, are the originators behind the St-Tite Western Festival, founded in 1967. Today, this event attracts over 600,000 visitors per year.
Why are their boots so sought after? Pierre and Louis Boulet, who currently head the company, would certainly tell you that their skill makes them the leaders in terms of durability and comfort.
“The exceptional ability of our employees is one of the reasons Boulet footwear is renowned for high quality!”
Pierre and Louis Boulet, co-owners of Boulet Inc.
The company stands out for its expertise in traditional techniques. For example, the sole of the boots is still stitched by hand to the welt, which is itself stitched to the vamp and the insole in order to ensure superior durability.
A second distinctive feature of Boulet products is the midsole. The midsole is made of a cork cushion that gradually moulds to the shape of your foot and makes the boots extremely comfortable. This means you can wear them all day and your feet will never get tired!
Whether you’re a cowboy or a fashionista who’s taken a liking to the Western trend, Boulet boots are a guarantee of quality, durability, and timeless style.
