Simons and Adrianne Ho Design La Mer Noire Swimsuit Collection
Simons is proud to present the new spring-summer 2016 La Mer Noire collection in collaboration with Adrianne Ho, North America's muse for urban activewear and rising star as the face of fitness in California. The collection was designed exclusively for Simons and will be launched in the retail chain's 12 store locations across Quebec and Canada and on its e-commerce site on April 1st.
Inspired after meeting Adrianne Ho during a swimwear photo shoot, the women's i.FIV5 buying team that develops Simons' private label of science-driven activewear proposed a collaborative collection with Adrianne.
“The vision behind our i.FIV5 brand corresponds well with Adrianne's passions. She dedicates her life and her career to promoting health and exercise, like high-intensity fitness training. Her lifestyle illustrates a balanced approach to physical activity and well-being that speaks to our customer who's on the hunt for activewear that's not only comfortable, but also on the cutting-edge of the trends and technology when it comes to fabric and design. The La Mer Noire collection meets all of these needs and is also extremely appealing due to its very feminine and glam designs that are slightly retro,” emphasized Peter Simons, CEO of Simons.
“I'm very happy to have worked with Simons on this design project. I really saw eye to eye with the i.FIV5 team who, like me, share a very healthy vision of activewear. It was extremely easy and enriching to discuss and exchange ideas with them. Our shared vision of fitness and a balanced lifestyle quickly put us on track for this collection. It's very exciting to know that my swimsuits will be carried in their 12 stores across Canada. It's a huge sign of mutual trust and a wonderful way to broaden the reach my philosophy of fitness and well-being by getting more and more people excited about, not only the style aspect of activewear, but also about the fantastic feeling you get when you have great, fashionable clothes for keeping fit,” said Adrianne Ho.
The collection includes two-piece swimsuits with interchangeable tops and bottoms, a striking one-piece swimsuit and a cover-up, both of which feature the La Mer Noire logo and match the handy neoprene and mesh beach bag. The collection's concept plays with colour and multiplies the pairing possibilities over a base of black. The styles are stylishly cut and are made to be comfortable and appealing.
