Passionate about bringing roots to the surface, La Belle Excuse offers freshly pressed olive oil-based products straight from family-owned olive groves located in Chora, Trifilia, Greece. 

Restaurant owner Aristo cultivated his family’s olive groves at a very early age. While working at Bistro La Belle Excuse in Joliette, Quebec with his partner Michèle, Aristo would bring over 4 tons of olive oil to Canada each year. They offered it as a side for customers who wanted to enjoy its taste with a piece of bread. La Belle Excuse emerged in 2005 as more and more clients showed interest in the tasty product.

La Belle Excuse offers cold-pressed natural ingredients in their products without compromising on quality or their ethical values. They make sure that every single litre of oil is pressed to the highest standard and in the best conditions.

Olive oil has always been a staple in cooking, beauty, medicine and religion. Many health specialists even recommend consuming high-quality olive oil daily, finding that its positive effects on blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and reducing pain speak for themselves. With all of these health benefits, Aristo and Michèle were inspired to launch a children’s wellness line, Lolo, after having their baby Gaia. Like their olive oil products, this children’s wellness line uses only the freshest ingredients.
 

Aristo ensures that all of his trees are in good health, meaning that they get lots of sun, some rain, and are planted in fertile and well-irrigated soil in a mountainous terrain. Each bottle is filled with love and dedication and offers a savoury experience in every bite.
