The Pogonat is pulled out of the hat!
Not so long ago, Fabrique 1840 announced a new electrifying collaboration between Catherine Pogonat and Camille Côté. Once more, the creative duo invites us to join them behind the scenes to discover the Pogonat, an exclusive, limited edition creation that will go on sale March 8, International Women’s Day. All profits will be donated to Chaînon, a nonprofit organization that helps women in need.
The excitement is palpable in Camille Côté's studio, where the designer is adding the finishing touches to the highly anticipated Pogonat. The hat was co-designed with TV and radio host Catherine Pogonat, who took charge of its artistic direction. “It was a process of trial and error with quite a few sketches,” the designer tells us.
“I looked at Catherine's inspirations and integrated them into what I had in mind,” she says. “The result is truly a mix of our two perspectives.” From Catherine's vision, Camille then suggested different materials and types of brims.
“I had an idea for a minimalist hat, which is what I like,” Catherine says. As she explains, she isn't a big fan of fancy frills. “Usually, that's what I tend to wear,” she adds. However, we can expect a pretty punch of contrasting colour that'll be as eye-catching as it is on trend.
