Not absorbent. These tea towels do not dry my dishes very well. I have bought other 100% cotton tea towels from Simons and loved them, so when it came time to replace them I ordered 12 of this towel. I washed them all and when I use them it takes a long time to get my dishes dry. Plus, they shrank a lot. I am very disappointed with them i do not recommend these. I wish I hadn't washed them all so I could return them.
