Annie Axtell was born in Quebec and studied fine arts at Concordia University. She moved to San Francisco to perfect her art before settling down in Vancouver. Living far from her family during this time, she sketched her first lunar calendar meant to keep us connected with our loved ones, no matter the distance between us. The 2023 edition's theme is balance. The artist invites you to reflect on the relationship between flexibility and resistance.
